Data

Export — your season as one file

🗂 This file contains your kids' first names — treat it like a paper roster: hand it only to people you'd hand that sheet of paper to, and delete old copies you no longer need.

Import — restore from a backup

Pick a soccer-fun-my-team-….json file you exported — from this phone or an old one. Importing is replace-only: the file becomes your whole My Team; it doesn't merge with what's here.

Where your data lives

Your whole season sits in this browser's own storage on this device — nothing stored yet. We never see any of it; there is no server side to send it to.

Checking this browser's storage promises…

Why phones sometimes clear this storage

Browsers treat on-device storage as theirs to tidy. iPhone Safari in particular can erase a site's storage after about a week of not visiting — exactly the rain-out or off-season gap a coach hits. "Clear browsing data" erases it immediately, and private/incognito tabs never keep it at all.

None of that can touch a backup file you've exported — which is why this page keeps pointing at the Download button.

Opened the Home-Screen app and your team is missing?

iOS gives home-screen apps their own storage, separate from Safari's. If you added the icon after entering your team, the season is still in Safari: open soccerfunfinder.com/tracker/data/ in Safari itself, download a backup there, then come back to this app and import it. Two minutes, nothing lost.
